The Cole Harbour Harvest Festival is a volunteer-run community event.  If you would like to help out on the day of the festival, write us at info@coleharbour.org.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Set-up Crew:

  • Picking up of any borrowed materials
  • Help with stage set-up
  • Sound assistance
  • Checking field for hazardous material

Event Crew:

  • Answer all and any questions
  • Know where things are and have contact numbers
  • Welcome and direct people

Children's Activities:

  • Organization of games
  • Face painting
  • Ensure all children are in a safe and happy environment

First Aid Station:

  • No one can work this station unless they have been properly trained
  • Never leave the first aid station until relieved
  • Assist anyone who comes to you for help
  • Provide band-aids, etc.
  • Assist anyone with serious issues to the St. John’s Ambulance bus

Event Hosting/Security:

  • You will be assigned a quadrant of the site with a partner
  • Monitor your area for any unsafe activities
  • Monitor for any open liquor, pot smoking, fighting, stealing, vandalism or violent behaviour. Alert the police if any of these situations arise.  Do not under any circumstances put yourself or partner in harm’s way!

 Stage Crew:

  • Assist with the setting up and moving of equipment
  • Being aware of anyone around the equipment that should not be there
  • Keeping people off the stage and surrounding area
  • Be aware of the equipment at all times
  • No one except authorized adults should be handling the equipment

Performer And Volunteer Support:

  • Keep the performers area organized and clean
  • Distribute food to volunteers and performers
  • Assist any performer as needed

Clean-up Crew:

  • Assist in taking down of stage
  • Returning of any borrowed materials
  • Cleaning of field
